Last year I wrote about my first Murph workout
For those unfamiliar with the Murph workout, you can learn more about it here. Every year on Memorial Day, CrossFit gyms across the United States participate in this workout.
tl;dr
1-mile run
100 pull-ups
200 pushups
300 air squats
1-mile run
My time last year was 50 minutes and 10 seconds. I could not beat it this year and added 2 minutes on top of it. This year my time was 53 minutes and 30 seconds. Even though I felt stronger this year, I think I have gained some weight that contributed to it. Murph is a total body weight workout, and having less weight is an advantage. My weak points in this workout are mostly the pushups and the second mile run. I plan to work on these areas over the next year.
I am committed to working harder this year to increase my body strength and return stronger next year to break my personal record.
